The John Henry "Pop" Lloyd Sports Complex within the park is named after the legendary baseball shortstop and Palatka native who broke racial barriers in the sport. In December 2024, three more sports icons were honored with field and court dedications:
- Jarvis Eric Williams Sr. Basketball Courts – Recognizing the late football star and coach who played for the University of Florida Gators and the NFL before dedicating his time to mentoring young athletes.
- John L. Williams North Softball Field – Named after the former NFL fullback and Palatka native who excelled at both the collegiate and professional levels.
- Johnson Session Sr. South Softball Field – Honoring a beloved coach and umpire who spent over 50 years mentoring youth and supporting underfunded teams in Palatka.
